LZ,自己都有答案了啊。

LOW PROFILE应该是指渔轮的形状。 以前的bait casting reel都是round reel, 外形比较大，看着比较结实。近些年比较流行的都是low profile bait casting reel， 代表有daiwa的steez, shimano的Core等等。 现在主流市场都是low profile bait casting reel。 老式的round reel 还是有一定的市场，由于亚洲人手型的问题，大多数人都喜欢用low profile bait casting reel.

顾名思义, Low Profile reel应该指国内称作水滴轮的那种轮,因为其轮廓(profile)相对于圆形轮(round reel)而言比较扁(low). Low Profile Baitcasting 的竿应该指适合水滴轮(上手轮)的竿吧. 楼上专家讲的详细.
